Airflo Cold Saltwater Sink 7 Fly Line

Scooting crabs along a rocky Northeast flat or drumming up hefty redfish in South Carolina, Airflo's Cold Saltwater Sinking Line is ready for it all. While most fly lines have strict temperatures that they work best in, this line can handle warmer saltwater (not tropical) just as well as it can handle an early May striper outing on Cape Cod--a rare feature but one that pays off in spades for the saltwater fly fisher. Giving true versatility, this line is great for the angler looking to tackle a variety of saltwater environments, and it has a quick sinking rate and shoots nicely and easily almost anywhere the water takes you.

Features

Super Dri, Ridge Tech, TDC, Power Core, and Micro Loop - Airflo's Saltwater Sinking Line is a line that's ready for a wide range of fish and environments, and it has all of the necessary tech to excel. With their Super Dri tech, Airflo makes this line from a patented polymer that repels dirt and other particles while extending the life of your line. To increase distance and ease of shooting, this line has Airflo's Ridge Tech, which is a series of parallel-running ridges that decrease friction and make for smooth shooting. For stabilized sinking that you can count on for seasons to come, this line utilizes Airflo's TDC (Total Density Compensation)--TDC implements Airflo's Polyfuse XT process to create advanced lines with pinpoint accuracy and reliable sink rates. Made with their Power Core technology, this line increases strength while decreasing memory, which is great for hard strip sets and long battles. And to ensure your line connections aren't getting snagged on your guides when a fast-moving blitz is approaching and you need a quick cast, the Cold Saltwater Sinking Line has Airflo's Micro Loops.

Uses

Streamers and Crustaceans - Airflo designed this line for fishing in saltwater environments, and with a heavy sinking construction, this line can cast anything from large Hollow Fleyes to small crabs. Perfect for fishing deeper waters, this line's taper will deliver almost any fly in your box, and its TDC technology and quick sink rate will ensure that your flies ride as deep as you want.

Temp

Cold/Warm - Made in a class of its own, Airflo rates their Cold Saltwater Sinking Lines at 40-86 degrees. Given this is a pretty wide range of temps, this line can be brought almost anywhere except for true tropical environments. Made to excel in cold water and warm water, this line won't face any memory issues until you get below 40 degrees, and you won't have to worry about it going limp until you get above 86 degrees.

Taper/Weight

More Mass Toward the Front of the Head - Airflo makes their Cold Saltwater Sinking Lines with a 7ips sink rate and focuses its mass towards the front. This taper makes for effective rod loading and an ability to shoot nice long casts, even whenever the wind kicks up. Airflo's Cold Saltwater Fly Lines sink quickly and are great for fishing deeper water or hugging the bottom in pursuit of large striped bass.
