Cortland Hi-Vis Flip Fly Line

Designed by the legend Flip Pallot, Cortland's Hi-Vis Flip Fly Line has just what you need when you're casting tight loops deep into the mangroves or working your favorite outflow on a dirty dropping tide. Built with versatility and made with a powerful taper, this line excels in both short and long-range casting, making it equally easy to hit the snook that just cruised in front of you or stealthily send a cast deep under a dock. Regardless of where you're delivering your fly, keeping track of its location has never been easier thanks to Cortland's Hi Vis orange coloration-stained water, clear water, low-light conditions, and everything in between, this line is a champ everywhere you take it. Built in a range of line weights starting with a 5 and ending with a 10, Flip and Cortland have an option for it all-permit on the flats, sea trout laid up in the Mosquito Lagoon, or even largemouth bass hiding under the cover of a downed tree, the Hi-Vis Flip Line is ready for it all.

Features

Dual Welded Loops - Whether you're dealing with your backing-to-fly line connection or fly line-to-leader connection, there's no doubt that welded loops greatly simplify things. With their Hi-Vis Flip Fly Line, Cortland equips the line with dual welded loops, and with the addition of their Fifty+ Core, you'll never need to worry about one of these loops snapping on a trophy fish.

Tropic Plus - Tropic Plus is Cortland's unique blend of high-tech polymers that creates a durable and slick surface that can hold up to hot water and even hotter boat decks.

Shooting Technology (ST) - A technology created to decrease friction in your cast while increasing distance and shoot ability, Cortland's Shooting Technology gives this line a super-smooth finish that will last for your line's life.

Uses

Streamers, Crustaceans, and Poppers - Flip and Cortland designed the Hi-Vis Flip Fly Line to deliver nearly any fly in your box. From Clousers and Deceivers all the way to Flip's Prince of Tides pattern, this line lets you present them all. Combining a floating construction with a powerful taper allows you to cast streamers and crustaceans-both weighted and unweighted-and when you're looking for more excitement and want to see a fish crush a popper, this line casts those equally well.

Temp

Warm/Tropical - From the warm fresh water found in the upper Loxahatchee to a tropical flat, Cortland makes this line to handle a range of water temps from 50 degrees to well above 70. This versatile temp rating lets you cover a range of waters, but if you try fishing it in a colder situation, you'll find the line gets stiff quite quickly.

Taper/Weight

More Mass Towards the Front of the Head - Cortland crafts their Hi-Vis Flip Line with a compact head that has a 22' body with a 4' front and back taper. This taper allows you to make quick short casts as cruising fish as well as throw long loops whenever stealth is needed. This taper is perfect for carrying a range of fly patterns, loading modern rods, and turning over long leaders.
